  • Manage several key phases of SOX-compliant projects for this leading health care organization.  This consists of  process modeling, requirements management, user training and test plan development.    Serve as liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, supporting the business in UAT and contributing to successful launches.

·         Managed  the requirements gathering  phase of projects in response to business initiatives for this leading provider of production management services to the entertainment industry.   As requirements manager, modeled desired systems in the Payroll and Residuals domains, functioning as liaison between  the business and technical teams.

·         Managed multiple Web application projects for this major entertainment organization.   This included project planning, scope identification, requirements, risk analysis, tasks breakdown, schedule and issues management, implementation and deployment planning.  The applications used a variety of technologies (Microsoft .Net, Java, XML) and integrated with TeamSite content management server as well as SharePoint server applications.

·         Recommended PMO processes and methods, resulting in improved management of software projects.

 

       Perot Systems, West Hollywood, CA  (Senior Business Analyst / Project Manager)   (2006)

·         Performed business systems analysis and project management for the Cedars-Sinai Health System , for this premier IT consulting services organization certified at CMMI  Level-3.   Conducted need and gap analysis, as well as CMMI peer review audits.    Developed implementation project plans to properly manage projects.   

·         Provided technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and processes that are cost effective and meet user requirements.    Provided evaluation, requirements documentation, formulation of systems scope and objectives based on business needs.    Worked with the users on acceptance testing.    Functioned as  liaison between  technical  & offshore QA teams and appropriate end-user departments.

       LA Care, Los Angeles, CA   (Applications Program Manager/Analyst - contract)   (2005 – 2006)

·         Functioned as project manager and senior-level analyst, managing Web health care applications for this non-profit health maintenance organization.  This included project planning, process improvement, requirements gathering, as well as analysis of required functionality and uses of the database/data warehouse.  It also included interfacing with the development team and end users for the delivery of applications using Java with Oracle database and data warehouse. 

·         Streamlined  the requirements-gathering process, providing increased satisfaction to the business owners.

 

       CCH Inc., a Division of Wolters Kluwer, Torrance, CA   (Project Manager)    (2005)

·         As member of the PMO Team, managed Web and stand-alone software projects from inception to successful completion for this leading provider of tax and business law information and software.  This included project planning and scheduling, stakeholder relations, milestone tracking, risk analysis and mitigation.

·         Served as PMO process leader of a group tasked with analyzing a CMMI process area  (Requirements Management) with the goal of helping the organization prepare for CMMI certification. 

·         Proposed and implemented the use of RUP-based templates for all phases of SDLC.  Developed documentation of PMO processes.

 

       Ceridian Corporation, Fountain Valley, CA   (Project Manager - contract)   (2004)

·         Managed the planning and analysis phases of a Web payroll card processing system for this leading human resources services organization.   This included strategic planning, project planning, resource needs, cost and time estimation, risk analysis, business analysis, systems analysis, requirements gathering, development of RUP artifacts and UML diagrams.

 

       Southern California Edison, Irwindale, CA   (Business Systems Analyst - contract)   (2003)

·         Performed business analysis as key contributor to a core team guiding the conceptualization and development of a Web enterprise-wide system for this major utility organization.    This included development of requirements, business cases, configuration management plans, cross-platform integration plans and risk analyses.   The project’s purpose was to provide optimal environments for web/n-tier business solutions delivery using a vertical integration of Microsoft .Net, IBM WebSphere, and Notes Domino platforms.

 

       Transamerica Insurance, Los Angeles, CA   (Technical Analyst - contract)   (2002)

·         Pioneered the systems documentation effort for this leading insurance institution’s e-Business Department.   Created and developed a complete SDLC methodology plan based on RUP.  Performed technical and business analysis for Web e-business applications developed with Microsoft .Net technology.   This included XML analysis.  Using UML, developed process flows, use cases, technical requirements, technical architecture definitions, data models and object models.

·         Contributed to the successful internal software audit rating of the Department by providing an exemplary SDLC methodology  which was then adopted as the Department standard.    Conducted staff training.

 

Citigroup,  Marina Del Rey, CA   (2000 - 2002)

Functional Analyst / Project Manager

·         Managed the implementation of substantial enhancements to a large Web B2B system for this major financial institution's e-commerce division.   Played an active role in the development of a PMO.  Developed functional requirements based on RUP methodology, defining, interpreting and translating business requirements into software specifications.  Developed feasibility and impact analyses for new initiatives.   Used UML business modeling to scope, define and design functional modules.   Pioneered the utilization of use cases in modeling.  Conducted  JAD sessions.  Interfaced with business and technical managers at all levels, seeking and obtaining agreement among all sponsoring organizations.   Conducted system and integration testing as part of QA.
